Session & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 2026

We've tried to write this the way we'd explain it to you in person. If anything here is unclear, text or call 602‑329‑1347.

How sessions work

Cancellations and rescheduling

Why we have a policy at all: when you book a time, that hour is reserved and your child's helper is scheduled to be here. Unlike a haircut, we can't fill a children's session slot on a few hours' notice. If the session doesn't happen, your helper still came in and still gets paid.

So the rule is simple: tell us early and there's no charge at all.

When you let us knowWhat happens
48+ hours aheadNo charge. Reschedule into any open slot, or skip it.
Under 48 hoursThe session is charged in full.
No notice at allThe session is charged in full.

Everyone gets one

Life with kids happens. Every family gets one late cancellation forgiven per year, no questions and no explanation needed. We'll just let you know we've used it.

We'll remind you in time

If you've opted into texts, we send a confirmation message 72 hours before every session — while the free-cancellation window is still open. Reply to confirm or to reschedule. You should never be surprised by a charge.

If we cancel

If your helper is sick or the studio closes, there's no charge and we'll reschedule at your convenience — including outside your usual slot if that's what works.

School-Year Family membership

$280 per month, September through May. Two sessions a month — the same $140 per session, no markup.

Because your slot is held for you, a session cancelled with less than 48 hours notice counts as used once your waivers are gone. It isn't an extra charge — the session is simply spent.

Billing: automatic on the 1st of each month. Cancelling: 30 days written notice, by email or text. Studio closures and holidays are published at the start of the year and don't reduce your session count.

Photographs

With your permission, we photograph the artwork your child makes and send it to you after sessions. Artwork only — we don't photograph children.
